More than twenty years in remedial massage

I established Massageology in 2004 after completing my Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. More than two decades later, I remain just as passionate about helping people feel better, move more comfortably and receive treatment that is genuinely tailored to them.

My interest in massage began with a deep passion for health and wellbeing and a desire to help improve the quality of people's lives. Seeing the difference massage could make for friends and family experiencing pain and injury inspired me to pursue it professionally. I was fascinated by the opportunity to combine hands-on treatment with an understanding of the body's anatomy and physiology, and that fascination has continued throughout my career.

Advanced training and areas of practice

Over the years, I have completed extensive advanced training in areas including remedial massage, myofascial release, pregnancy, sports and postnatal massage, oncology massage and manual lymphatic drainage. I continue to build on my knowledge so I can offer thoughtful, evidence-informed care that reflects the individual needs of each client.

I have had the privilege of treating people from all walks of life, from clients managing muscular pain, injuries and physical demands to women throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period, people undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment, and those seeking lymphatic support as well as professional and amateur athletes. I have also provided workplace massage for a variety of corporate and community organisations.

Contributing to pregnancy massage research

I was proud to contribute as a study massage therapist to the HOPES research study through Western Sydney University, which explored massage as a supportive approach to care for women pregnant after experiencing a previous stillbirth or termination for medical reasons.

How I work with every client

For me, massage is never simply about following the same routine for every person. I take the time to listen, understand what is happening and adapt each treatment accordingly. My aim is for every client to feel comfortable, cared for and confident that their treatment has been designed specifically for them.

Massageology is based in Croydon Park and operates by appointment only. Health fund rebates are available for eligible remedial massage treatments.
